Boy Scout Troop 88 is dedicated to providing a superior Scouting experience for youth 11 to 17 years old. Service, community engagement and leadership development are fundamental parts of our youth led program. Chartered by New Providence Presbyterian Church for 83 years, troop meetings are held every Monday night at 7 pm.
Troop 88 provides a youth-led scouting program focused on character development and values-based leadership.
Troop 88 is the longest continuously chartered Boy Scout Troop in Blount County. Troop 88 has been chartered to New Providence Presbyterian Church since 1925.
The Cub Scout program began at New Providence in 1940, and Pack 88 is currently the largest scout pack in Blount County.
As of January 2018, Troop 88 had 35 boy scouts and 28 registered adults. Pack 88 had 128 scouts and 48 registered adults.
Troop 88 will prepare every eligible young man in Blount County to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

Troop 88 is the longest continuously chartered Boy Scout Troop in Blount County, receiving its original charter in October of 1935. Troop 88 is chartered to New Providence Presbyterian Church and meets on Mondays throughout the year from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm in Westminster Fellowship Hall.
